1. The Opening (Al-Fathiha)
The Opening Chapter of the Holy Qurán. Revealed before the
Hijrah. This chapter has 7 verses.
1. In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most
Merciful.
2. Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of
the worlds;
3. Most Gracious, Most Merciful;
4. Master of the Day of Judgment.
5. Thee do we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help
(For each and everything).
6. Show us the straight way,
7. The way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy
Grace, those whose (portion) is not wrath, and who go not astray.
" Al-Hamdu lillahi
Rabbil-Alamin is the
Mother of the Quran, the Mother of the Book, and the seven repeated Ayat of
the Glorious Quran"
It is also
called Al-Hamd and As-Salah,
because the Prophet (PBUH) said that his Lord said,
[The prayer (i.e
Al-Fathiha) is divided into two halves between Me and My servants . ' When the
servant says, 'All praise is due to Allah , the Lord of existence,' Allah
says, 'My Servant has prasied me.' ]
Al-Fathihah was
called the Salah,
because reciting it is a mandatory for the correctness of Salah - the prayer.
Al-Fathiha was also called as Ash-Shifa' (The Cure).
"Whoever
explains the Qur'an with his opinion or with what he has no knowledge of, then
let him assume his seat in the Fire" - Saying of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
