India - an Interesting Country |
While I am an American living in New York, and of European origin, I have been interested in India for quite a number of years. There was Ravi Shankar, who taught the sitar to Beatle George Harrison; the Hindu religion (even tough I am still Christian) and the Kama Sutra; cricket with many Indian and Indian-Caribbean players enjoying the sport in New York; the Bengal Lancers; the cuisine; and most importantly, the friendly Indian people whom I have known here in the USA. |
