RAGGING FREE CAMPUS
Ragging:-
Ragging Means causing, inducing, compelling or forcing a student, whether by way of a practical joke or otherwise, to do any act which detracts from human dignity or isolates his person or exposes him to ridicule or to forbear from doing any Lawful act, by intimidating, wrongfully restraining, wrongfully confining or injuring him or by using Criminal force to him or by holding out to him any threat of such intimidation, wrongful restraint, wrongful confinement, injury or the use of Criminal Force( Karnataka Act No.1 0f 1995, Section 2(29).
The institution has taken the following requisite measures to prevent this evil act
1. Ragging in any form directly or indirectly inside or outside the college campus had been BANNED.
2. The student whosoever, he / she is involved in any undesirable activity will be punished severely
3. The student will be expelled from the Institution in case he / she is found Guilty
4. The students are advised to keep themselves away from such activities.
5. Ragging Prevention committe consisting of Principal, registrar, Warden and all the Heads of the Departments has been formed.
6. Separate Hostel block for newly admitted B.E. 1ST Semester Students is provided.
7. Along with resident wardens, the Staff members are also put on duty even day, round the clock to keep a strict vigilance to prevent Ragging.
8. Telephone Numbers of Important persons are provided to the students in case of any Emergency.
