COMPUTER SCIENCE & ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

COMPUTER CENTRE:-

The computer Center is located in the administrative building with 600 sq. metres of area with 100 systems with LAN facility and it also has future provision to expand upto 200 systems.

HARDWARE/SOFTWARE AND PERIPHERAL RESOURCES:-

@ Two LAN Resource servers (PENTIUM based) running on Novell Netware with 30 AT-486        Intelligent terminals out of which 10 systems have Hard disks, which can be
       used for CLIENT/SERVER applications.

@ Two Labs equipped with 40 stand alone systems, running on DOS.

@ One Lab is exclusively reserves for Staff members.

@ Seven printers, off which there are 5 Dot matrix, one Inkjet and also A3 size colour         plotter.

@ Latest release of all popular compilers, Interpreters, othere utility packages such as         LOTUS, Dbase 4 and Dbase 5, Windows 95, Foxpro, Oracle 7.x, Powerbuilder, Ingress,         Focus and other popular packages for business and statistical applications.

@ Three UPS, one 1 KVA and two 600 watts and one 15 KVA Diesel generator to deal with         power failures.

@ Media Library having all the software, documentation and manuals of the s/w used in         the computer centre and journals.

@ The computer centre works from 8.30 a.m. to 10.30 p.m.
