Born 1957 in Gazipur UP, India, he post Graduated and stood first in commercial art from BHU, Varanasi.

Awards
He has been awarded in drawing in all India art exhibition, Hyderabad Art Society, All India Fine Arts & Craft Society (AIFACS) and in All India Art Exhibition by Working Artists of Varanasi (WAV). He was awarded certificate for poster design, theme 'Donate Blood', Blood Bank Society, Chandigarh and an academy award for the poster, theme 'Pani Anmol Hai', from UP State, Lalit Kala Academy (LKA), Lucknow. He obtained a Diploma Award for Poster Design, theme 'for the sake of life on earth', Moscow, USSR. He was awarded Gold Medal for outstanding merit first in BFA and MFA, applied art examination.

Participation
He has participated several times in national Exhibitions and State Level Exhibitions organised by Hyderabad Art Society, AIFACS (New Delhi & Chandigarh), Blood Bank Society, S.C.Z.C.C.(Nagpur), WAV, LKA Lucknow, Mahakoushal Parishad, Raipur and Mysore University Photography Club.

Group Shows
He has done a few solo shows and many group shows in Ravindra Bhavan New Delhi; Jahangir Art Gallery Mumbai; Cimroza Art Gallery, Mumbai; Nadan Gallery, Shantineketan; Bangalore; Agra; Varanasi.

He presented seminar on "Advertising and Social Awareness" at Academic Staff College, BHU. He attended seminar on Graphic Design for Communication and Vernacular Languages, NID, Ahmedabad. Only last year, he participated in the one day National work Shop on Women and Place; Intercultural Dimensions organised by Malvia centre for piece research in collaboration with centre for women's studies and envelopment, BHU, and the British council New Delhi.

He has designed a prestigious pictorial information booklet of BHU, 'Capital of Knowledge', jointly with S. Das Gupta, HOD at Applied Arts, BHU. He had an opportunity to design calligraphy for Sanskrit text for display at a major exhibition in Austria on Indian Culture entitled "Purusharth". Besides, he has created many logos and catalogues of renowned artists

Collections
His many works are in collection in Bharat Kala Parishad, Hyderabad, UP state LKA; National Gallery of Modern Arts, New Delhi; Central Hall of Arts, Moscow; and many in private collections in India and abroad.

He is a life member of WAV and a member of Selection Committee for higher education scholarship of UP State LKA Lucknow. At presant he is a Lecturer in Faculty of Visual Arts BHU Varanasi India.
